Selection Criterias
Scholarship Selection Criteria
Scholarship Recipients will be selected based on the following criteria:
- Applicants must be pursuing a degree to become an LVN or RN; we have four current pathways: LVN/LPN, Associates of Nursing, RN to BSN or Traditional BSN.
- We currently have 1 additional scholarship available to other healthcare professional degrees that are not nursing.
If the number of qualified applicants exceeds the available scholarships, priority will be given to those who:
- Demonstrate financial need, as indicated by a current FAFSA Submission Summary (formerly the Student Aid Report, SAR), and plan to pursue their education on a full-time basis.
- Maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Semi-finalists will advance to phase 2, which includes a face-to-face interview with the scholarship committee.
Semi-finalists will be contacted via email or phone to schedule the interview before scholarship finalists are selected.
